The Homestead Farm comprises of 260 acres of farming land. 220 acres of the farming land is zoned as grazing ground for the cattle. The remaining 40 acres is used for the production of maize and wheat for winter fodder. The cattle are fed a home-mix complete diet during the winter months which include: maize silage, grass silage, whole crop wheat, and concentrates that have been forward bought each year.

The Holstein Herd consists of 100 spring calving cows. All cows are bred to top A.I proven sires; this is to ensure that a well-balanced offspring for production and type is produced. There is a replacement rate of 25% of heifers to the herd; the remaining percentage is sold increasing profitability as profit is to the fore of this Farming enterprise.
